Will Eisner and Craig Thompson comparison

Will Eisner and Craig Thompson created a series of comics that have some hidden meaning for adults while keeping it close to the age appropriate gene for anyone to pick up.

Will Eisner came out with most of his comics in the late 1970's during a time where America was trying to get back on it's feet. Some of the typical stereo types I picked up on were from "A Contract of God" was about setting an expectation or hope in something and then getting let down later on because those expectations weren't set. Craig Thompson came a few decades after Will Eisner however through the art of comics had a similar theme. Although Will's was darker and had no real panel transition to follow. Will captured the viewer with his hatching and figure ground capabilities.
